“Through Time”
Alisa Rodny, 2024
My image began with the image of my great-great-grandfather Pinchos Neyman. I added the word “achdut" in Hebrew letters to connect back to him through time. While “achdut” extends beyond family, direct lineage is what propels us forward into the future; it’s a relay in which we pass the legacy of who we are, and where we’re from, to the future generations. The main idea behind this image is to locate myself as just another piece of a greater story; small yet essential.
